Today is the day for players of the online ARPG Path of Exile. The Fall of Oriath launch is now upon us on the PC, bringing what’s described in the announcement as the largest content update to the game since its initial launch.
Managing Director of Grinding Gear Games Chris Wilson stated that the closed beta test for the new update was invaluable to making sure the game was well-balanced. “Systems such as the Pantheon Powers, balance of Power and Frenzy Charges and monster variety in the new content have been directly improved as a result of the communication between our community and the developers during the Beta,” said Wilson. “We’re extremely happy with how the Beta went and are excited to open up The Fall of Oriath to a broad group of players upon release!”
The update brings the titular fifth act to the game’s main story, along with the replacement of the difficulty system for replaying completed acts, the Pantheon System, and the expected selection of new items, powers, and skills.
Path of Exile: The Fall of Oriath is a free update to the free-to-play ARPG. You can check out more on the official site.
With the way Oriath handles endgame progression possibly representing a change of thinking for ARPGs as a whole, we’re definitely pleased to see this new content update arrive. We hope that PoE players have a great time with this latest content.
