Dele Alli is set to be the next star to adorn EA Sports’ acclaimed FIFA video game franchise as the Tottenham ace draws admiring glances from Europe’s top clubs.
The Spurs midfielder’s rapid rise up the footballing pyramid in England has seen a number of leading clubs linked with summer moves for him, and the Daily Mirror has now reported that Bayern Munich are the latest to be alerted to the talented England international.
The German giants may have to vye with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Barcelona for his signature once the season ends, however, as the 20-year-old’s name and marketing brand continues to march forth after a number of sterling displays this term.
Alli recently penned a new, improved long-term deal to remain at White Hart Lane until the summer of 2022, and he would command a significant transfer fee if any other club came calling for his services.
His reputation in the game is increasing exponentially, however, and EA Sports are hoping to capitalise on his hero status among younger football fans by sticking Alli on the front cover of their next installment of their FIFA series.
Other reputable stars such as Lionel Messi, Marco Reus and Wayne Rooney have appeared on the front of previous iterations of the game, and Alli’s face being plastered all over the cover will cement his place as the latest bright talent within Europe’s top five leagues.
If Alli does take to the cover of FIFA 18, it will only ensure that the likes of Bayern will become even more eager to snap him up in a bid to boost their own coffers – such as with Alli’s name on the back of their replica shirts – within their large fanbase and beyond.
Alli has once again helped Spurs mount a Premier League title challenge this season, with the Lilywhites currently sitting second in the table after Sunday’s 3-2 win over Everton.
The ex-MK Dons starlet has featured 27 times this term, plundering 15 goals and seven assists in all competitions.
